About Sharon

My role is a facilitator in your healing journey. My approach is collaborative, assisting you to clarify your goals, examine your options and identify your signs of success. Your progress depends on you and the choices you make in your journey of growth.

I began my practice in 2009 in North Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. My experience includes serving immigrants for the Immigrant Welcome Centre, providing multi-cultural counselling. For several years I volunteered for the Comox Valley Head Injury Society, counselling caregivers and persons with head injuries. Currently I facilitate a peer support group and life skills workshops for the Society. As a Registered Rehabilitation Professional, I also provide vocational coaching for persons with injuries and/or disabilities through various insurers.

I am a Registered Professional Counsellor (RPC) registered with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA). I am also a Registered Clinical Counselling Hypnotherapist (RCCH) registered with the Association of Registered Clinical Hypnotherapists (ARCH). All registered professional members of these associations are extensively screened (including criminal record checks) and must carry professional liability insurance.

The Canadian Cancer Society recommends ARCH hypnotherapists as providing qualified hypnosis practitioners: “It’s important to have hypnosis done by a qualified practitioner with advanced training. In Canada, the Association of Registered Clinical Hypnotherapists (ARCH), the Canadian Hypnotherapy Association and the Canadian Federation of Clinical Hypnosis provide information on hypnosis and qualified practitioners.” Go to
